Let’s say Andy and Barbara are discussing whether or not aliens exist. A “logical fallacy” is an argumentative error and there are dozens of types.Ī popular strategy in casual debates, where the topic being debated may not even be addressed at all. This is a logical error (even though it may work) because a person’s character is irrelevant to whether they are correct or incorrect.
